Debate: Should you optimize for AI search or just focus on Google rankings?
I spent 2 years hammering my client's site for traditional SEO keywords. Then last month I ran a test with a ChatGPT prompt and realized the AI was pulling info from a competitor's blog post that barely ranked on page 3. That got me thinking. Are we doing it wrong by chasing Google's algorithm when AI tools rewrite how people find answers? Has anyone else noticed their organic traffic staying flat while mentions in AI responses drop?

Huh, so did your competitor even know their blog was being scraped by AI or did they just get lucky?
