Dropped $200 on an AI content optimizer that mostly just rewrites my headlines

The tool blasted my traffic up 30% in two weeks, but my bounce rate also jumped because the headlines were too clickbaity for the actual article content, so did the AI save me or burn me and has anyone else dealt with that tradeoff?

Nah, sounds like the AI saved you honestly. 30% more traffic is huge and you can just tone down the headlines yourself to match your content better.

30% traffic bump is no joke, but those clickbaity headlines are a real trap. christopher385 mentioned you can just tone them down yourself which is true, but the AI is still learning your content's voice so you've gotta feed it examples of your best performing non-clickbait headlines. Try running a batch of your old organic top performers through that tool and see how it adjusts its style. The traffic jump means people are clicking but your articles aren't delivering what the headline promised, so maybe the problem is your content needs to match that new hook energy not the other way around.
