My AI content tool told me to rewrite the same blog post 6 times before I caught on
So I was trying to get a newsletter out for my little Etsy shop and this AI writing assistant kept saying my tone was off. It made me rewrite the same 400 word post about custom leather wallets six times over 2 hours before I realized it was just recycling the same feedback. I was chasing a perfect score that never existed. Has anyone else wasted serious time because an AI tool's suggestions were actually just loops?

Been there with the same trap. Best thing I learned was to keep a running list of my own simple tone markers on a sticky note. Things like "use 'you' more than 'we'" or "keep sentences under 20 words." That way when the AI gives vague feedback, I check my own list first and see if it's actually useful or just noise. Also helps to set a hard limit on revisions before you even start. Three passes max then ship it. Nobody's reading your newsletter with a grading rubric anyway.

Three passes max and then ship it? That's giving me anxiety just reading it. I sit on stuff for days and still find things to tweak on my tenth pass. My sticky note would just say 'stop already' and I'd probably ignore it anyway.
