Pro tip: AI changed my email strategy after a conference in Austin

I was at a marketing event in Austin back in March and a speaker showed how their AI tool cut email open rates by 30 percent by personalizing subject lines for each customer. Before that, I was just sending the same bland email to everyone on my list. Now I use a simple AI model to tweak the first sentence based on what each person clicked last time. Has anyone else tried this approach and seen better engagement?

Noticed the same thing happening at the grocery store last week. They put little stickers on the shelf next to stuff I've bought before saying "back by popular demand" or whatever. It's the same idea - just a tiny personal touch that makes you feel seen. Makes me wonder how much of this stuff is already happening without us noticing. Feels like every interaction these days is being tweaked to feel more human even though it's less human than ever.

That "back by popular demand" thing is interesting. Did you notice if it actually felt genuine or if it came off as just another corporate trick? I've seen stores do that and sometimes the sticker is on stuff that's clearly been sitting there forever, which makes it feel pretty hollow.
