Spent $200 on an AI writing tool only to get better results from a free prompt tweak

I was dumping cash into Jasper for months and the output still felt robotic. Then I started feeding ChatGPT a specific structure before each request, like 'write this as a story about someone who fixed their own sink' with a clear 3 paragraph limit. The difference was night and day. Has anyone else found a cheap hack that beat the expensive software?

Did your friend try giving ChatGPT a sample paragraph of the style they wanted? My buddy saved like $50 a month just by copying one good email into the prompt first.

Two years ago I would've laughed at that hack, but now I'm a total believer.
