Vent: my AI photo app keeps turning every bald guy into a guy with hair
So I ran about 40 shots from my cousin's wedding in Tampa through this AI cleanup tool last weekend, and it gave my uncle a full head of hair in every single one. He has been bald since 2011 and he thinks it is the funniest thing that has ever happened to him, but now my aunt wants prints of the fake hair version. The weird part is the tool nails wrinkles and skin tone, it just cannot leave a bald head alone, like it thinks no hair is an error it needs to fix. Anyone know a setting that stops the hair thing, or do I just have to fix each one by hand?
The wedding angle here is what gets me. Your aunt wants the hair version because weddings are basically the one time everyone wants to look their best in photos, and the app knows that somehow, so it just auto-upgrades everyone. It probably learned from a million engagement and wedding pics where the "after" always had more hair. The fix nobody mentions is to check if the tool has a face by face undo. Most of these apps let you reject a single edit, so you keep the wrinkle and skin fixes and just tap off the hair on your uncle. Faster than doing all 40 by hand, and your aunt still gets her prints.
