Blew a fuse trying to trace a static issue on a King Air 200

Spent 4 hours chasing a ghost in the overhead panel. Turned out the bond strap on the rudder trim tab was corroded clean through. $8 fix. Had a lead at Textron Aviation tell me to check grounds first next time. Anyone else got a cheap fix that saved a big headache?

Also check the bonding jumpers under the floor panels right by the main gear wells. Moisture loves to collect there and rot out the connections. A buddy found a corroded ground in that spot on a 200 that had been giving intermittent radio static for months.

@kim.emma nailed it. That spot is a moisture trap for sure. Seen it happen on a few planes, always a headache.
