Everybody says check the wiring diagram first. I ignored that.

Chasing a no-start on a 1998 Cessna 172 at KPDK took me about 6 hours. I was dead set on probing relays and tracing physical wires. Finally caved and looked at the diagram. The issue was a bad ground pin I overlooked after 20 minutes of staring at it. Anybody else waste a whole shift on something that simple?

Buddy of mine spent an entire day on a loose wire that was right in front of him.
