A homeowner's complaint about my keypad placement changed how I do every install now

Last month I put a keypad right by the front door like I always do, and the customer said 'my kids keep hitting it with backpacks and it beeps all day.' I thought it was just a weird complaint, but then I realized they had a point, most people don't use the front door as much as I assumed. Now I ask every customer where they actually come in and go out during the install walkthrough, and I mount the keypad on the wall facing that path instead of defaulting to the entryway. Has anyone else had a customer point out something so obvious that you just never questioned it before?
