Five alarm panels all went offline Tuesday morning at a 12 unit complex
I got a call from a property manager I work with near Portland around 7am. Said none of their keypads were responding. Got onsite and found every panel had lost power due to a single tripped breaker in the main electrical room. Someone from the maintenance crew had plugged a space heater into the same circuit as the panel power supplies. Took me 3 hours to reset everything and test each zone. Has anyone else run into clients sharing circuits that should be dedicated?

Used to think sharing a circuit was no big deal, but after digging into a job where a single space heater took out a whole complex, I'm now a firm believer in dedicated lines for alarm equipment.
