Rant: Vibration sensors won me over on a tough install
I used to think vibration sensors were a pain because they false alarm a lot. Then I did a job at a pawn shop where they caught a break-in try. The guys were messing with the back door, and the sensor went off before anything else. Now I see they're good for high-risk spots. I've added them to my kit for places with lots of glass or weak entry points. It's made my setups more reliable, which is a win. Just my two cents, lmao.

Totally get that, I was the same way for ages. Had a warehouse job last month where nothing else made sense for the big roll-up doors, and it worked like a charm. @campbell.logan is right, we gotta drop those old biases. That one install flipped my whole view on them.

Man, I've been that stubborn installer too, lol. Wrote off whole product types because of a bad experience or what I heard from others. Sounds like you powered through the false alarm rep and found the right spot for them. It's a good lesson to not let old biases mess with new tools. Now I feel like a dummy for avoiding them on a few jobs last year that could have really used that extra layer. Guess we're all always learning, lmao.

I saw three jobs this quarter where old habits made guys skip the right bracket type entirely. That kind of thinking locks you into maybe two ways to solve a problem when there are five. Unlearning that stuff is a bigger skill than just learning the new product specs.
