Running wire in attics back in the 90s compared to today
I remember crawling through attics in July in Phoenix without any PPE, just a flashlight and a prayer. Now I won't go up without a cooling vest, knee pads, and a full respirator. The big change came around 2010 when a buddy of mine passed out from heat stroke on a job. Anyone else notice how much more seriously we take heat safety now compared to 20 years ago?

Phoenix in July without PPE... I still have nightmares about the toxic cocktail of fiberglass dust and 130 degree attic air. Back then my "cooling system" was a wet bandana and a hope that I didn't pass out before lunch. Now I look like a stormtrooper gearing up just to move one wire.

Didn't that guy @mason_jackson have a buddy who passed out mid-splice and woke up in his own lunch pail?
