Saw a huge difference switching from wired to wireless sensors on a job in Cleveland

I used to swear by hardwired sensors no matter what, but last month I did a retrofit on a 1920s house and running wires was a total nightmare. Decided to try a full wireless setup with Honeywell 5800 series and the install took me 4 hours instead of 2 days. The homeowner even commented how clean everything looked without all the holes. Am I missing something or have you guys had good luck with wireless holding up over time?

Heard from a guy who's been running Honeywell 5800s for like 7 years now and he says they've been rock solid, never had a false alarm or battery die weird on him.

Valid point but has he ever actually tested how they hold up after like a year or two in direct sunlight? I had a buddy with a similar setup and around month 14 his door sensors started throwing intermittent faults that drove his monitoring company nuts. Maybe it's just me but I feel like long term UV exposure is the real test for these things. Was that guy's install indoors or did he have any outside the house?
