Serious question, old school hardwiring vs new wireless panels

I've been installing alarms for about 12 years now. Back when I started, I ran wires to every single door and window, took all day but never had a false signal issue. Last month I put in a full wireless system for a house out in the suburbs, and the customer called me 3 times already because the kitchen sensor keeps dropping off the network. Is reliability really worth the extra labor time for hardwiring, or am I just being stubborn about adapting to the new stuff? What's your cutoff point for choosing one over the other?

Oh man, tell me about it! Hardwired never lets me down either.

Gotta be honest though, I've tripped over my own backpack straps so many times it's kind of embarrassing. But yeah, once it's hooked in I forget it's even there.
