Shoutout to the guy in Phoenix who showed me a 22 gauge wire won't carry a 2 amp keypad run past 150 feet
Pulled the spec sheet on the keypad last week and the voltage drop chart said 18 gauge minimum for that distance. Been running 22 on door contacts my whole career and got lucky, anybody else get burned by this on a long run?
