Smoke detector went off after I installed a new panel in Omaha

Honestly, last Tuesday I swapped out an old DSC panel for a new Honeywell Vista in a house in Omaha. Everything tested fine but the smoke detector kept chirping every 5 minutes after I left. Turns out the old wiring was loose on the zone and the panel was seeing intermittent shorts. I had to drive back 40 minutes to re-strip and tighten the connection. Has anyone else run into phantom chirps after a panel upgrade?
