Spent 2 hours chasing a ground fault on a panel in Dearborn before I checked the obvious thing
I was up on a ladder for 2 hours on a Tuesday rewiring a zone that kept tripping, convinced the old wiring in the attic was the problem. It turned out the screw on the zone 4 terminal was maybe a quarter turn loose, that was it. I skipped the wiggle test on the terminals because I assumed the installer who came before me torqued everything down. Now I check every screw by hand before I even pull the meter out, takes 30 seconds. How many of you got burned this way starting out?
