That dual-path communicator install last Thursday nearly cost me a customer
I put in a new Honeywell cell module at a house in Oak Park last week and the thing kept dropping signal during testing. Turns out the metal roof was blocking everything, and I had to move the whole setup to the attic eave. Has anyone else run into interference problems with metal roofs on residential jobs?

I mean... antenna relocation is kinda standard though, right?

Wait do you actually think moving the antenna is no big deal? It's a total hack on most modern phones, straight up ugly with that bump. Apple at least tries to make it look clean, Samsung just sticks it on the back like an afterthought. It's lazy engineering if you ask me, not some clever fix.
