Vent: That 'free' alarm system upgrade cost me a whole Saturday

I was skeptical about those mailers offering a free panel swap for existing customers. Took the bait last month, and the installer spent 4 hours running new wires because the old ones were 'too degraded.' Anyone else deal with this bait-and-switch crap?
