Warning: I spent 6 years mounting panels without leveling the backbox first
A customer pointed out my panel was 3 degrees off using a digital level app on his phone, and now I have to go back to every job site this week and check my work with a legit level since I never realized how much my eyeball method was drifting.

Grab a $20 box level and recheck your first three jobs for peace of mind.

3 degrees is nothing. That's like a bubble barely touching the line on a level. Most walls aren't even plumb within 3 degrees. You're chasing perfection that nobody will ever notice except some guy with a phone app. Probably overthinking this one.
