Why does nobody talk about the 100th system install feeling different?

I just finished my 100th full system install in a new build over in the west side, and it hit me that I wasn't double-checking my wire runs anymore. Some guys say hitting a round number is just a number, but for me it felt like a switch flipped from following steps to just knowing the flow. Did you feel a change after a certain number of jobs, or is it all just in my head?

Man yeah that's exactly it! Once you stop having to think about every little step it's like your body just takes over and you can focus on the tricky parts instead. For me it was around 80 or so where I realized I wasn't even looking at the wire colors anymore, my hands just knew where each one went.

My 75th install was the one where I stopped bringing the manual to the job site. It's not in your head, that muscle memory just takes over after a certain point. Do you find yourself moving faster now or just more relaxed?

Totally get that! Hit 50 installs and suddenly my hands just knew where everything went without thinking.
