That one stretcher run that almost broke me, 18 years ago

Back in 2005, I was working the night shift at a small clinic outside of Boise and we got this call for a 380 pound guy who'd fallen in his bathroom. Me and my partner basically had to use a tarp and four of us to get him onto the stretcher, and the hallway was so narrow we had to tilt it sideways. The whole thing took 45 minutes and my back was sore for a week after... still remember the supervisor just saying 'good job, next time call for backup faster.' What's the worst lift you've ever had to do, and did it change how you handle heavy calls now?

Damn right. Now I check weight before I even leave the station.
