Argued with a lab tech for 10 minutes about C-41 temperatures
I always heard you have to develop C-41 at exactly 102°F or the colors shift. Then I read a Kodak technical document from the 80s that says the process can handle up to 104°F with perfect results, just with shorter development time. Has anyone else run their chemicals warmer than the standard and gotten good scans?

Wait, do I really need to throw ANOTHER thing on the pile of stuff I've already messed up in my darkroom? I've ruined enough rolls just by leaving the lid off the tank.

Oh boy, I've had a few rolls come out looking like a bad Instagram filter because I got impatient and let the water bath drift too high. I'd tell myself it was "close enough" and then spend the next two hours trying to figure out why my negatives looked like a rainbow had a tantrum. So I'm with you on the "one more thing to mess up" train, believe me.
