Can we talk about how a guy at the Oakland camera swap called my bulk rolled HP5 "cheating"?
Met a guy named Dennis at the Oakland photo swap last Saturday who saw my reloadable cassettes and went off about how bulk rolling is "not real film shooting." He pays $14 a roll for factory Tri-X while I'm at like $3.50 a roll with the same stock, so I just let him talk. I get that hand rolling adds a step and you risk scratching, but calling it cheating feels like gatekeeping for no reason. Anyone else here bulk load, or am I really missing some magic in those factory cassettes?
