I finally developed a roll from 2018 and the colors came out completely weird
Found a roll of Fuji Superia 400 in an old jacket pocket from like 6 years ago. Decided to just send it through the regular C41 process anyway. The negatives came out looking like someone messed with the saturation slider in Lightroom. Everything has this weird purple tint that I actually kinda like. Made me realize expired film is way more unpredictable than people online make it seem. Anybody else ever get weird results from old film you forgot about?

Did you check if the film got hot or cold at any point before you shot it? I've had rolls that were only slightly expired but sat in a car during summer come out looking like they were dipped in tomato soup, all red and weird. The purple shift is interesting though, makes me wonder if it was heat or just age doing that.

Was it fridge stored or just sitting in a drawer for years? Ive had a roll of Superia 400 that lived in my glovebox through two summers and it came out blueish purple like that, almost like a weird cross process look. The purple shift makes me lean heat damage over age too, age usually just makes everything muddy brown or green. Did you pull it out of an old camera that had been sitting somewhere warm?
