You ever try shooting it at golden hour with the sun hitting some old brick buildings? That's what did it for me... someone told me to expose for the highlights and let the shadows go dark, and suddenly all those warm tones just popped. I used to only shoot Portra but now Gold is my go-to for that lazy afternoon look...

Four rolls of Gold 200 in one afternoon last fall and I still remember exactly which bricks I was aiming at when the light finally clicked. How did you get over the fear of blowing out those highlights when you started exposing for them instead of the shadows? I keep trying it but my brain won't let me trust the meter when the sun is right at the edge of the frame. Especially with those old brick textures you mentioned, the red tones can get muddy if you miss the exposure by even half a stop.
