I finally stopped pushing the shutter button so hard after a local lab tech told me I was shaking the whole camera

This guy at Downtown Camera in Nashville pulled me aside last Saturday and said my photos looked soft because I was jabbing the shutter like a typewriter key, so I switched to a gentle squeeze and now my street shots in 35mm actually look sharp for the first time in 5 rolls, has anyone else had that 'stop mashing it' moment with their gear?

That first time someone calls out your shutter jab is like being told you've been holding a pencil wrong your whole life. My lab guy just said "you're not punching a hole in the film, are you?" and handed me back a whole roll of blurry candids. Now I squeeze that shutter button like it owes me money and my photos actually look like they were taken by a human, not a jackhammer operator.
