Laughing at my friend's film scanning setup until I tried his Epson V600
I spent 3 years holding my phone up to a light table like a caveman because I thought dedicated scanners were overpriced nonsense. Borrowed my buddy's V600 for a roll of Kodak Gold last weekend and now I'm ordering one tonight. Anyone else stubbornly stick with a janky setup way too long?

The thing about holding a phone up to a light table is you always end up with those weird reflections and dust spots you don't catch 'til later. A scanner at least forces you to clean the negs first, which saves time in the long run.

Wait do you actually clean your negs before scanning or just hit em with a rocket blower and call it good?
