Spent $210 on a lens that only works in bright sunlight

I bought this old Russian lens off eBay last month and the aperture blades are so sticky they only close down if the camera is literally facing the sun, which means every indoor shot is a blurry mess. Anybody else get burned by a bargain lens that turned out to be a paperweight, or did I just pick a bad seller?
