Spent 3 hours chasing a light leak that was just my fridge
Last Tuesday I was shooting a roll of Portra 400 in my apartment and every single frame had this weird orange streak on the left side. I spent 3 hours swapping lenses, checking the back seal, even taped the film door shut, but it turned out my mini fridge was sitting right behind me and its little light was bleeding onto the film in the darkroom. Has anyone else blamed their gear for an ambient light issue that was just room stuff?

Three hours for a fridge light seems like a lot of effort for something you could've fixed by just turning around and looking. Portra's got decent latitude but it's not gonna pick up a little glow from a mini fridge unless you're shooting wide open in a pitch black room. Maybe just do a quick sweep of your shooting space next time before you start tearing apart your camera gear.
