A comment about my light meter made me test my sunny 16 skills
Was at a park last Saturday shooting my Pentax K1000 and this older guy walks by, sees me fiddling with the meter, and says "you know that thing lies to you half the time, right?" I laughed it off but later I tried a whole roll without the meter, just guessing based on the sky and shadows. First 10 shots were way off, but by frame 24 I was within half a stop on most of them. It felt like learning to ride a bike without training wheels. I still use the meter for tricky indoor stuff, but now I trust my gut for daylight. Anyone else try going meterless for a full roll and surprise themselves?

My first meterless roll was all blurry, wrong ISO. Ended up with artsy garbage.
