Bought a bulk lot of expired film that was stored badly

I grabbed 10 rolls of Portra 160 off Craigslist for $20 from a guy who said they were kept in a cool closet. Turns out that closet was right next to a radiator and every roll came out with heavy color shifts and grain. Anyone else get burned on cheap expired film like this?

Those color shifts are the whole point of expired film, @lisa_grant.

Oh man that is such a bummer lol. I feel for you because I've been there too, bought a whole batch of cheap film from a garage sale only to find out the seller didn't actually know how to store it properly. The results were this weird magenta mess that made every shot look like a bad dream. It sucks when you think you're getting a good deal and then you end up with useless frames that just make you frustrated. Hope you at least got a few salvageable shots out of it though, sometimes the color shifts can look kind of cool for a lo fi vibe.
