Had a perfect roll of film after 6 straight duds
I shot three rolls last month at a flea market in Portland and every single frame came out blank or washed out, thought my camera was toast. Then last Saturday I just walked around my neighborhood with my old Pentax K1000 and every shot came back sharp and exposed right like magic. Anybody else have a random good day that made you remember why you stick with film?

Is it really a mystery why some rolls turn out perfect though? @claireg81 mentioned operator error and honestly I think people just get lucky sometimes. You had six bad rolls in a row, sounds like something was off with your process or your camera but then it fixed itself for no reason. That's not magic, that's just you getting lucky with the light and maybe not noticing a mechanical issue that decided to work that day. Film doesn't care about your feelings, it's either exposed right or it isn't.

Had a similar thing happen with my old Nikon FE. Took it out after a string of bad rolls and finally got that one perfect day where everything clicked, light was right and I actually slowed down to meter properly instead of guessing. Makes you realize it's usually operator error not the gear when things go sideways.
