Shot my cousin's wedding on Portra 400 or HP5, picked the wrong one

My cousin got married in Savannah two weeks back and I only had $40 for film, so I grabbed three rolls of HP5 400 instead of the Portra 400 I usually shoot for people. The black and white shots came out fine for candids but the ones of her in the dress just feel flat and I keep staring at them wishing I had that warm skin tone. Anyone else shoot a one time event on the cheaper stock and regret it, or do you just live with the grain?
