Dropped $65 on a Garrett pinpointer that flat out lied about depth at an old schoolhouse in Ohio
Last month I hit a worn field near an 1890s schoolhouse outside Dayton and my $65 pinpointer kept buzzing 3 or 4 inches off to the side of every target. I dug two hours of extra holes for nothing, and my knees hated me for it. The manual says it reads up to 4 inches but mine taps out around 1, and I still can't tell if it's busted or just junk. Anyone found a brand that actually reads where the coin is, or should I go back to just using the main coil?
