Just realized my grandpa's story about a 1909 VDB penny changed how I dig
Talked to my grandpa yesterday. He said he found a 1909 VDB penny in a jar of old nails at a flea market for 50 cents. Now I'm wondering how many treasures I walk past at those junk bins every week.

Used to skip the junk bins completely thinking it was just trash. This story makes me wonder how many old tools or jars I've walked past that might have something hidden inside. Definitely taking a closer look next time I'm at a flea market.
