Bokashi bins vs traditional worm bins in a studio apartment... which actually works better?

I've been composting in my tiny 400 sq ft place for about 6 months now. Started with a worm bin but the smell got bad after 3 weeks no matter what I did. Switched to a bokashi bucket and it's been way less stinky but I'm not sure the end product is as good. My neighbor uses worms and swears her plants grow faster. Anyone tried both long term? Which one do you think is more legit for small spaces?

Man, I feel your pain with the worm bin smell in a small space. I tried worms in my 500 sq ft place and it was bad, like my whole apartment smelled like a wet basement. Switched to bokashi too and while I agree the soil isn't as "alive" right away, the lack of smell was a game changer for me. I've been doing it for about a year now and I just mix the fermented scraps into potting soil and let it sit for a few weeks before using it. Have you tried letting your bokashi output sit longer after burying it to see if the plants respond better?
