Bought a fancy countertop composter for $300 and it just makes weird smelling compost powder
After 4 months of using it I realized I could have just gotten a $20 worm bin and actually had real compost for my plants instead of this dehydrated stuff that smells like burnt toast.

Toss that thing and get yourself a proper worm bin instead.

Why not both though? A worm bin handles the food scraps but you still gotta figure out the rest of your compost. A tumbler is way easier if you're just starting out or don't have a ton of space.
