Honestly thought a worm bin in my studio would be a huge mistake
Ngl, I was sure it would smell bad and attract bugs, but my friend gave me her old one to try for a month. I kept it under the kitchen sink and only added a cup of scraps every other day, mixing in shredded junk mail as browns. After two weeks, there was zero smell and the worms had eaten almost everything. What convinced me was checking it after a trip and finding perfect, dark compost instead of a mess. Has anyone else had a good surprise with a worm bin in a really small space?

Honestly, that part about finding perfect compost after your trip is so real. I had the same fear keeping mine in a closet. Tbh, the worms are way tidier than I ever expected. It's wild how they just handle business with no smell if you get the browns right. Feels like a secret hack for small apartments.

Found it got a bit funky in my place during summer, even with enough browns. Might depend on your setup or climate.
