I keep seeing people put meat in their apartment compost bins

Walked into my neighbor's apartment last week and their bokashi bin smelled like a dumpster. They were tossing in chicken bones and leftover hamburger grease. The thing is, meat attracts rodents and rots way different than veggie scraps. If you're in a small space like a 3rd floor walkup, stick to fruit peels and coffee grounds unless you want fruit flies everywhere. Has anyone else had to explain this to a newbie in their building?

Three out of my last four apartments had this same issue lol.
