Just dropped $80 on a fancy countertop composter and I'm not sure it was worth it
I live in a studio in Chicago and saw this sleek electric composter online. It promised to turn scraps into dirt in hours, no smell, no mess. I saved up and bought it, thinking it would solve my space problem. After a month, I see the big issue. It makes this dry, crumbly stuff, not real compost I can use for my plants. It also can't handle citrus peels or avocado pits, which I have a lot of. I feel like I paid for a very quiet, expensive food dehydrator. Has anyone else tried one of these and found a good way to use the output? I don't want it to just be trash.

Ugh, classic. Sounds like you bought a fancy paperweight.

Pretty sure it doubles as a doorstop now too.
