My neighbor told me I was composting wrong for 3 months

Caught her in the hall and she said my bin smelled because I was adding too many citrus peels - turns out she was right. Anyone else have a neighbor drop a composting truth bomb on them?

Honestly this is just life telling you something you don't want to hear but needed to know. Most people get defensive when someone critiques their routine, but sometimes the feedback is actually a favor in disguise. Learning to take that kind of advice without getting salty is a skill most of us could work on.

Is it just me or does this whole "don't get defensive" thing only apply to certain situations though? I've seen people straight up ignore good advice about their diet or sleep schedule, but then turn around and get praised for "sticking to their guns." It feels like some folks get to be stubborn and it's called confidence, while others get called salty for the same thing. @jana_davis90 you're right that taking feedback is a skill, but it seems like the double standard around who gets that advice in the first place is what really gets under my skin.
