Rant: I almost threw out my bokashi bucket after 2 months, then I weighed my trash

I was ready to quit apartment composting because the bucket kept smelling like pickles, but when I actually weighed my kitchen trash for one week it came out to 4.2 pounds instead of the usual 9, which is what finally sold me on keeping the stupid thing.
