Realized my worm bin was drowning after 4 months of soggy scraps
I finally figured out that adding too much melon rind and cucumber was basically waterlogging my bins when I opened it up and smelled the WORST swampy rot last Tuesday, has anyone else had to tweak their greens to browns ratio for apartment composting?

My buddy turned his bin into soup and his cat refused to go near it.

Slammed right into the same wall myself last month (it was brutal). My bin turned into a literal soup after I got too excited about summer watermelon rinds and threw in a bunch of old salad greens. The smell was so bad my roommate actually thought something died in the closet, and I had to dump the whole thing outside to dry out. Now I keep a separate bag of shredded cardboard and egg cartons next to my kitchen scraps, just so I can layer it in whenever I add anything watery. It's been a total gamechanger honestly, my worms went back to being happy and the bin stopped smelling like a swamp within a week.
