Found a master tech in Tulsa who actually explained the refrigerant math

I drove out to a small shop off Route 66 last Tuesday to pick up a used compressor and ended up talking with the owner for 45 minutes. He broke down superheat and subcooling numbers in a way that finally made sense to me, using a simple R-410A example on his bench. It beat every YouTube video I've watched over 6 years in the field. Anyone else ever run into a tech who just clicks like that?
