Had a Samsung fridge ice maker fail on me during a heatwave last July

I spent 4 hours troubleshooting the auger motor before realizing the issue was a frozen drain line from the humidity, has anyone else run into this with these newer models?

12 cent resistor on the main board fixed mine when the ice maker quit.

Wait really? A twelve cent resistor did that? That's wild but I totally believe it. Those main boards are so finicky sometimes one tiny little part goes bad and the whole thing acts up. I had a similar issue with a fridge once where a simple capacitor swap fixed the whole ice maker. It's crazy how something so cheap can save you from buying a whole new board or calling a repair guy. Glad you got yours working man, that must have been a relief.
