Hot take: that Samsung fridge I hated for 2 years finally taught me something

I spent last Tuesday wrestling with a 2021 Samsung RF28R7201SR that kept icing up in the freezer. Customer said it was fine before, but after 3 hours of digging I found the defrost sensor was just 1/8 inch too far from the coil. Now I check positioning first instead of swapping boards. Any of you run into a bad placement from the factory like this?

Factory sensor placement is definitely worth checking before swapping parts on these Samsung fridges.

Whoa, hold on, what? There's actually a factory sensor placement issue on these things? I figured it was just a bad batch of control boards or something simple like that. Man, that really changes the whole troubleshooting game. Now I gotta go double check where my sensors are sitting before I order anything.
