I finally bought a cheap capacitor tester and it paid for itself in one job
I spent $35 on a basic capacitor tester from Amazon last month and it already saved me a headache on a fridge call. The compressor wouldn't kick on and I was about to order a start relay. Ran the tester on the run capacitor and it read way low at 3 microfarads when it should have been 8. Swapped it out for a $12 part and the fridge fired right up. That tester kept me from chasing a phantom issue for hours. Anyone else have a tool that cost less than $50 but changed how you work?

Man, his bank account still hasn't forgiven him. Dude drove it home and immediately started looking up aftermarket parts on his phone while it was still idling in the driveway. Three weeks later and he's already trying to figure out how to explain a new exhaust system to his wife. I swear, that car is gonna be the reason they start fighting over the budget.
