Old timer told me I was overtightening terminal blocks on dryers
Had a guy with 30 years experience watch me swap a heating element and he said I'm cranking those screws way too hard on the terminal block. He showed me how it can crack the plastic and cause arcing, and now I only snug them down with a light pull instead of gorilla-tight. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you totally change a basic habit?

@julia_fisher28 yeah same here, that light snug feeling is the way. Its wild how "enough" is almost never what you think it is at first. Most things in life have a sweet spot between too loose and too tight, whether its screws or schedules.
