Serious question, is anyone still buying those cheap universal washer pumps?
I dropped $35 on one last month and it failed after two jobs, leaking all over a customer's floor. The extra hour to go back and swap it for an OEM part cost me more than the pump saved. What's your go-to brand for reliable replacements?

Serious question or just venting about a bad part? Those cheap pumps are basically a gamble you're supposed to lose sometimes. My go-to is just not having a go-to anymore, I stopped trusting any of them. I'll pay the extra upfront to avoid the callback circus.

My last three callbacks made me a believer.

angelaellis is right that those cheap pumps are a gamble you're gonna lose sometimes. I had the same thing happen - a $29 pump on Amazon lasted two weeks then started seeping from the gasket. Now I stick with OEM or at least a name like Filtrate or SKF if I can find them. The extra $20-30 upfront beats having to drive back out on a Saturday morning. I've learned the hard way that any pump under $40 is basically a disposable part that'll fail right when you least need it to.
